Meet our Tesco Pet Stars​.

Knowing how many of our Tesco colleagues have pets, we wanted to give them the chance to become stars. The furry face of Tesco Pet Insurance.

After thousands of entries, and some serious pet envy, we had the difficult job of picking the final 5. And we think you'll agree, every one of them is a winner.

So, without further ado, we’re proud to present the 2025 Tesco Pet Stars - and their parents.

April’s a fun-loving Labradoodle, but it’s not all about play. She’s a super-smart medical assistance dog and works with Lydia on the checkouts in Tesco.

Lydia has a heart condition which can make her collapse. April’s been trained to tell Lydia it’s about to happen and keep her safe. And it’s all done with her sense of smell.

April also helps with things like unloading the washing machine, taking Lydia’s socks off, and picking things up for her. So, she works hard around the house as well!

Lydia works in-store at Tesco. She said: “April does an amazing job of looking after me and telling me if I’m going to be ill. Customers see her and think she’s the most beautiful dog and want to take photos of her.”

Cali’s a super-cute Cockapoo. Adorable, yet mischievous. And Elaine and her daughter, Esme, wanted to share her cuteness with the world!

She’s a bundle of energy and full of fun - always up for a cuddle or causing chaos. Whether she’s stealing toilet rolls, sneaking off with brushes or zooming around the house, Cali keeps the whole family on their toes.

Elaine works in Tesco Insurance and Money Services. She said: “My kids were begging me to get a dog for ages, and I’m so glad I did. Cali’s completely stolen our hearts and feels like she’s always been part of the family.”

Delphie’s a Bearded Collie, described by The Kennel Club as a ‘vulnerable native breed’. She was bred by Diane’s family, and Diane saw her being born last year.

Delphie’s a dog show star-in-the-making. She already has several Rosettes to her name and recently qualified for next year’s Crufts.

She loves playing with her sister. And she’s at her happiest when she’s ripping a cardboard box to bits!

Diane works in our Customer Fulfilment Centre. She said: “Delphie was 1 of only 209 Bearded Collies born last year. She's incredibly funny and sometimes just too clever for her own good!”

Lucifer is a bundle of fluff. He’s big and soft, but a real smart cat - and a big character in Sienna’s family.

He likes his food too. He’ll give you a high five to get a treat and even ‘sits’ on command for dinner!

Sienna and her mum, Tony, both work at Tesco, and thought it’d be fun to enter him.

Sienna works in-store at Tesco. She said: “Lucifer might seem calm, but at midnight he’s a mad beast - he gets the zoomies and keeps us up all night!”

Pablo is a Doberman Weimaraner cross, a mix of Doberman Pinscher and Weimaraner. He’s a rescue dog, adopted by Aisha when he was 4 months old.

Aisha’s a big advocate of big dogs. Pablo’s cheeky, but a loveable character. He enjoys his agility classes. And he loves pulling Aisha along the trails in CaniCross - that’s cross-country running with your dog!

Aisha works at Tesco Head Office. She said: “Pablo loves people. He’ll try and sit on your lap or do the dobie lean! I’d love him to become a therapy dog to help and support people.”
