If you have been involved in an accident you may have to pay an excess, depending on how the claim is settled.
If there is a third party involved in the claim and they accept liability, then you will not need to pay your excess. If there is no third party to claim from or the insurer settles the claim as either 50/50 or as your fault, then you will have to pay your total excess whether or not you believe you were at fault.
The total excess on your policy depends on the compulsory excess plus any voluntary excess selected during the quote process. To find out what excess will apply, please check your Car Insurance Schedule by visiting Your Portal.
If the loss or damage to your car is covered by this policy, and you use the approved UK repairer of our choice, then yes, we will provide a small courtesy car while repairs to your car are being carried out, provided that one is available.
Courtesy cars are not available if your car is not repairable or if it is stolen and unrecovered.
